Lake Trasimeno
Lake Trasimeno, also called of Perugia, with a surface of 128 km² is the largest lake of the Italian peninsula, the fourthof the Italian lakes, just after Lake Como.Such extension is matched to a low depth (average of 4.3 m).
The Park of Lake Trasimeno was set up by Law on March 1995, with the objective to protect and enhance an area of high natural value and historical-artistic as that of Lake Trasimeno and the municipalities of its surroundings.
Trasimeno lake has three islands, named Polvese, Maggiore and Minore.
The navigation service is managed by APM and provides daily routes from Passignano, Tuoro and Castiglione del Lago to the Maggiore island and San Feliciano for Polvese.
