In fact, observing from the plain in front of Assisi is immediately visible the majesty of the Basilica of San Francesco and the many churches inside the belt.
The city rises on the slopes of Mount Subasio, in a wonderful position overlooking the Umbrian valley, between 300 and 100 meters of altitude.
