The festival of Bringoli
Since the time of the ancient lords Liscianesi existed in traditional country cooking a dish easy to prepare and very good to eat that over time became the typical dish of Lisciano Niccone: “The bringoli”.
The women farmers used to prepare in the evenings by candlelight while the husbands were discussing the campaign drinking a glass of wine.
It is a mixture of water and wheat flour, cut into small pieces and then thinned by hand and rolled over a work surface, until you get the big spaghetti around 20/30 cm long that are served with different sauces: truffle, the deer or duck ragu.
It was in this dish of peasant origin Lisciano Niccone dedication for over 30 years, the village festival held in July.
The festival is organized every year of Bringoli Proloco from the country and is characterized by meetings theater, music and sports as well as the food stands.
